Some Info on my project.....

Im going to write some information I found about bachata, salsa and merengue. Bachata is a popular guitar music from the Dominican Republic. Guitar music always been a part of Dominican musical landscape. Bachata began to be assiocated with another world, that of prositution, proverty and delincuency. The many reasons for this are many and complex and involve the conflicts within Dominican socitey around proverty and wealth, tradition and modernity as as genuine bad faith on the part of other elements in the music industy. Salsa refer to a fusion of informal dance styles having roots in the Caribbean (especially in Cuba, Puerto Rico and the United States)Latin America and North America. Salsa is usually a partner dance, although there are reconginzed solo steps and some forms are danced in groups of couples, with frequent exchanged of partner. Merengue comes from a cuban music called UPA, which arrive to Santo Domingo in the middle 19th century from Puerto Rico. Merengue made it ways into dominican society being accepted in certain social sectors and displacing other dances that required s great mental and phyical effort to be executed.
